As we know, the southwest desert can be harsh on our skin, especially in Arizona. The heat can do a number on your hydration and leave your face with less of the "glow" you are aiming for. Here are some quick tips to keep your skin hydrated and looking fresh, no matter what desert you live in!
Hydration To-Go - Fill an empty lip gloss pot or a minuscule sample jar with your preferred moisturizer. You can put this in your purse or travel bag. Use as needed, whenever your skin feels a little dry. Showers - Long, hot showers can strip our skin of its essential and natural oils. Use moisturizer on your face and body as soon as you hop out of your shower or bath to help protect your skin. Ideally, apply within three minutes of getting out. Adjusting with the seasons - Your fave summer moisturizer might not be the year-round cure your hoping for. When the weather changes, our skin does too. Winter can often be more harsh on your skin though it doesn't seem like it in Arizona. Using a special moisturizer for different seasons can gain better results! Sandal Season - Before bed, slather your feet with a thick layer of Vaseline or your fave lotion and cover them with an old pair of socks. As you sleep, your feet soak up that moisture. The next morning when you remove the socks, your feet will be soft so you can wear your favorite sandals with pride. When you take time to apply proper beauty techniques and products, it really does show. It shows that you want to look your "your best." We hope you enjoyed these fabulous tips! You may have even found a new "regular" or favorite for yourself.
