We all want our skin to to look it's best. And we definitely don't want premature aging or to look older than we are. Below are a few tips to help you live your best life and slow down the aging of your skin. Aging is inevitable but with these actions you can make your skin's best years last longer!
Less booze! Alcohol dehydrates our skin and over time can cause damage, cause wrinkles and in turn make us look older. Social drinking is one thing but constant reliance on alcohol is bad in more ways than one! It does nothing positive for the rest of your body and that includes the face :) Exercise! Exercising daily increases blood flow circulation and boosts the immune system. This is great for the rest of you but has also shown to give you a more youthful appearance as well. Your all around health effects the way your skin looks as it is your largest organ! Ew i know.. but taking care of the rest of you means your skin benefits also. Plus you get that after workout glow. Washing your face Washing your face every day is important but when you follow the above tip of working out your skin needs a little more attention! Washing your face in the morning can wake you up, revitalize your glow, and get you started on the day with a clean fresh face. Then when your workout rolls around you sweat all that freshness away! It's important to wash your face twice a day if you are exercising. Try to wash your face directly after your workout and at the very least before you head to bed. This helps give your face a chance to recover and breath and in turn keeping you youthful and vibrant! Be gentle Exfoliating one - two times per week is a great routine to keep up but for your daily routine you need a gentle cleanser. You don't need to be abrasive to get the job done! Too much exfoliation can irritate the skin and accelerate the aging process. The harsher you are on your skin the harsher your skin looks. Use a gentle daily cleanser with purifying qualities that is designed for your skin type. This will give you that daily glow and keep your skin healthy and youthful. Using a moisturizer After your gentle daily cleanser you should be locking all the moisture in with a lightweight moisturizer. This will give you a glow, make makeup application easier, and help your skin age gracefully with time. The #1 skin needs to stay youthful is moisture. With whatever serums or creams you are using on your skin after your daily cleanser your moisturizer should go on last, locking everything in for the day. We hope these tips have helped!
