As we know, the southwest desert can be harsh on our skin, especially in Arizona. The heat can do a number on your hydration and leave your face with less of the "glow" you are aiming for. Here are some quick tips to keep your skin hydrated and looking fresh, no matter what desert you live in!
- Fill an empty lip gloss pot or a minuscule sample jar with your preferred moisturizer. You can put this in your purse or travel bag. Use as needed, whenever your skin feels a little dry.
- Long, hot showers can strip our skin of its essential and natural oils. Use moisturizer on your face and body as soon as you hop out of your shower or bath to help protect your skin. Ideally, apply within three minutes of getting out.
Adjusting with the seasons
- Your fave summer moisturizer might not be the year-round cure your hoping for. When the weather changes, our skin does too. Winter can often be more harsh on your skin though it doesn't seem like it in Arizona. Using a special moisturizer for different seasons can gain better results!
- Before bed, slather your feet with a thick layer of Vaseline or your fave lotion and cover them with an old pair of socks. As you sleep, your feet soak up that moisture. The next morning when you remove the socks, your feet will be soft so you can wear your favorite sandals with pride.
When you take time to apply proper beauty techniques and products, it really does show. It shows that you want to look your "your best." We hope you enjoyed these fabulous tips! You may have even found a new "regular" or favorite for yourself.
Proper skincare can be an important part of your life. You need to do all of your research so that you don't end up improperly applying something or so you don't use products that will not work on your own body. There are some tips listed below to help you begin.
Add some moisturizer to your foundation. This makes your foundation last longer. The moisturizer makes the foundation lighter so your makeup will not look caked on.
Always remove makeup before going to bed. If you sleep with your makeup on, you increase the likelihood you will get acne and blackheads. Makeup can trap dirt and oil on your face. Clean and tone your face every night. Don't forget to add moisturizer when you are finished cleaning.
To improve your lip color application, always apply lip balm first. The lip balm will leave your lips soft and moisturized, and will allow your lip color to go on smoothly. Try using a basic, untinted lip balm so that you don't change the color of the lipstick or lip gloss you're using.
To keep feet looking beautiful, especially during the warmer, dryer summer months, try applying Vaseline to them every day. It will keep them smooth and soft. Then go get yourself a pedicure and a pair of brand new sassy sandals, and you'll have the best looking feet of the season.
Proper sunscreen use is vital to keeping your skin healthy and youthful-looking. Sunscreen is especially popular during the summer, but for healthy skin, it's important to wear it year round. Your hands and face are the most vulnerable and consistently exposed areas, so they should always be protected.
Beauty can be a lot of fun, but it can also be a lot of work. Regardless, if you know what to do and how to create your own regimen, you can get the results you want. You can learn how to come up with your own beauty regimen by doing your research and applying the above tips to your beauty regimen.
These tips are handpicked in order to make you feel prettier on the outside and on the inside.
Try a night-time application of Vaseline for your heels and feet while you sleep. This will make them soft and taut as they do after getting a professional pedicure! Look for mascara and eyeliners that are dark brown with hints of brick, deep purple, or brick hues in them. These darker colors will help your blue eyes stand out.
You can add life to your favorite liquid foundation last longer by mixing it with moisturizer. This can also changes how the makeup looks and increases the foundation's ability to protect your face to have a fresh look instead of a caked on look while providing important sun protection.
Always wash off all of your makeup before laying down at night. Gently scrub your face with a soft cloth and luke-warm water or makeup remover. After that, wash the face normally. Make-up left on your face will clog your pores and cause skin conditions.
Do you find scratches or chips on your nails become chipped and scratched after each manicure? A top coat can help the look last as long as a week! Be sure you don't confuse it with clear nail polish.Buy a top coat and not just clear nail polish.
Drink milk each day to help with your routine. Research indicates that a glass of milk helps your skin and your bones. The high protein contained in milk will help build muscle. It will also help you shed some weight. Milk is a great tool in your body healthy.
Rosewater or cucumbers can be used to lessen the dark circles under your eyes. They contain natural components which will not only lighten the under-eye skin and make it appear lighter. Dip a cotton pad into one of the two liquids, and remain like that for 15 minutes.
You do not want to discover an allergy to eyelash glue when it is already on your eyes if you are allergic to them. Test it on your arm first to determine if you are allergic. Cover the glue and leave it untouched for 24 hours. If there is no rash after this period of time, you should be okay.

Vitamin C has a range of skincare benefits from firmer skin to fewer wrinkles and dark spots—but the ingredient is notoriously finicky. As an antioxidant, it’s prone to oxidizing, meaning that it breaks down when it’s exposed to air, light and heat. If you’ve ever had a vitamin C serum that turned orange or brown in color, you’re familiar with this concept. There are vitamin C derivatives out there that are more stable than others, but research shows that they’re not as powerful as pure vitamin C, or l-ascorbic acid.
Enter vitamin C powder. L-ascorbic acid powder is highly stable and can be mixed into your skincare products for an antioxidant boost. Because you mix the powder into a dollop of a serum or moisturizer before applying, it’s like mixing up a fresh (and guaranteed potent) dose every time. If you decide to try a vitamin C booster powder, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
Don’t go overboard with the powder. No need to furiously dig into your compact, and no need to powder so heavily that you look as matte as a chalkboard (unless of course you REALLY love that look). It’s possible to be radiant and matte at the same time, when done with correct skin prep and application.
Use a fluffy brush that’s not too dense. You don’t want a brush where the bristles are closely packed together because then the powder will be heavily placed in just one spot and it won’t easily blend out. This makes the powder much more obvious and it’s how you can get that mask-like effect. Gently swirl the brush in your compact or loose powder. Tap the brush a couple of times to get off any excess powder in case you swirled too much, and hold the brush toward the end of the ferrule rather than right at the top near the bristles. This will give you a more gentle grip and put less pressure on the bristles of the brush, which makes for better and softer application. Then, dust it across your forehead and T-zone. If you really want a mattified look, swirl your brush in your powder and gently but firmly pat the brush in the places where you get oily. You can also use a soft velour pad for a matte look but go light with the product (we’re applying in layers, remember) and blend out with your fluffy brush for a seamless effect. For under the eyes, you may want to use a small tapered fluffy brush or even a small fluffy eyeshadow brush.
Doing your makeup in front of a window with nice, natural light (you’ll want to be facing the window) will give you the best idea of what your makeup actually looks like. When we apply in rooms like bathrooms, which tend to have dingy or warm lighting, we’re not seeing the true hue of the colors we’re using. In bad lighting, you may also be applying your makeup too heavily because you can’t see an accurate representation of what it’s going to look like in regular light when you’re out and about. Lighting is key! You also don’t want to sit in a window that has the sun beaming directly at you during the time you’ll be doing your makeup. If you’re having to squint your eyes while you’re applying, the sun is way too bright which is just as bad as dingy lighting.
Skin care can be a whole lesson in itself, but we’ll start with the basics. Good makeup cannot be obtained without the proper prepping of the skin. Cleansing thoroughly, exfoliating 2 to 3 times a week, and applying a hydrating moisturizer day and night provides an excellent base for your makeup. If you feel like you get oily throughout the day, a hydrating-yet-oil-controlling moisturizer will be your best bet. When you have good skin prep, you don’t need a face primer. Let the moisturizer sink in for several minutes before applying foundation. You will find that having a good skin care routine will make your makeup looks more flawless.
Out of all formulas the gel eyeliner is one is my favorites! Due to its soft creamy formula, with eyeliner gel I can play until I reach my favorite line. It glides on smoothly and then quickly dries down to a long wearing. So it's fantastic for beginners and also for anyone who want to set her liner fast to deliver intense color.
So here are some wonderful tips for working with gel eyeliner. These tips will help you to maximize your results:
1. To start I would recommend to choose the best gel eyeliner- I love mac and Bobbi brown. The formulas have beautiful combination of an intensive color with real creamy and soft formula.
2. This tip is all about keeping your formula from drying. The gel eyeliner is creamy and we have to keep it from drying. The trick is to turn over your jar while working- so no air will dry out the formula.
3. Using the right tool will maximize your result! you need to buy special liner brush that will help line your gel. To get the outmost of your gel eyeliner I would recommend to use good brush that would keep the line accurate. I just love mac brush #211 for thick liner and mac cosmetics brush #263 for thin liner.
4. This tip is so simple but it’s a really a game changer! Start lining your liner and then if you want to add some more, just clean your brush and dip again in your gel eyeliner. This will keep your liner always creamy and not too dry.
5. Start with a small amount of gel and add more if needed. the gel is very intense and in order to control your line from being too thick It is always recommended to begin with just a little.
6. Clean your brush when finish lining! The product is drying and you have to remove it with brush cleanser. This will assure you will be able to work with the brush next time.
Never share eye makeup with anyone. Bacteria can transfer from one person to another when eye makeup is shared. This can lead to eye irritation and other problems. At the cosmetic counter, avoid using sample products if it has been opened and used by other people already. Ask for a clean sample if available.
It is wise to ensure that any cosmetics that may end up in contact with the eyes are thrown out every 60 days. Bacterial buildup may otherwise become an issue. You're rubbing more and more bacteria on your face as time goes on. Ultimately you do not want to risk your eye health due to poor hygiene.
The importance of proper eye care cannot be stated enough. Taking steps to ensure the proper functioning and health of the eyes is one of the most important things a person can do. Take this advice to heart, implement the tips outlined here, and you can help your eyes stay healthy for years to come.
