Beauty can be an essential part of your physical appearance, but understanding it and buying the right products and cultivating the correct daily plan can be overwhelming. Follow these steps and you can make the most out of your beauty regimen.
Washing your face daily is a must Between makeup, dirt, sunscreen, and oil, our skin is constantly fighting to stay clean. Now that we have masks to wear every day it can cause even more dirt to stick to our faces. Wash 1-2 times a day and always before you go to sleep. Moisturizer Apply some kind of moisturizer to your face regularly. For those who have greasy or oily skin, you should use an oil-free moisturizer every day. This helps lock in your moisture and any other serums you use after washing your face. Sun protection Make sure you either choose a moisturizer that has an SPF value or a light sunscreen made to wear under your foundation. There are some foundations that include sunscreen and there are also tinted sunscreen moisturizers that can give you protection and a little coverage. With all of these options there is no excuse to skip the sunscreen. Use a face mask at least once a week We are talking about the relaxing type of face mask! We are forced to wear face masks most of the places we go. Set some time aside once a week to do a cleansing face mask or even a whole spa day. This is key for your skin health and your mental health. Exfoliating, age-rewinding, or cleansing, all will help relax you and remove impurities from your face. A mud or clay mask is best for removing impurities. Once you find a mask you like, you should stick with it. Toner and Rosewater Keep rosewater in your beauty supply kit. Rosewater is a remedy with roots in antiquity. Rosewater has many uses, from soothing sunburn to helping cure allergic rashes. It is the best toner you could use. Apply daily after cleansing to tighten skin's appearance and remove excess oil. You should understand a little bit of the beauty world after reading the tips above. When you apply them, your skin will benefit immediately and in the long run as well! Taking care of your skin on a daily basis is imperative to your beauty and skin health. Applying these tips is a step forward.

We all want our skin to to look it's best. And we definitely don't want premature aging or to look older than we are. Below are a few tips to help you live your best life and slow down the aging of your skin. Aging is inevitable but with these actions you can make your skin's best years last longer!
Less booze! Alcohol dehydrates our skin and over time can cause damage, cause wrinkles and in turn make us look older. Social drinking is one thing but constant reliance on alcohol is bad in more ways than one! It does nothing positive for the rest of your body and that includes the face :) Exercise! Exercising daily increases blood flow circulation and boosts the immune system. This is great for the rest of you but has also shown to give you a more youthful appearance as well. Your all around health effects the way your skin looks as it is your largest organ! Ew i know.. but taking care of the rest of you means your skin benefits also. Plus you get that after workout glow. Washing your face Washing your face every day is important but when you follow the above tip of working out your skin needs a little more attention! Washing your face in the morning can wake you up, revitalize your glow, and get you started on the day with a clean fresh face. Then when your workout rolls around you sweat all that freshness away! It's important to wash your face twice a day if you are exercising. Try to wash your face directly after your workout and at the very least before you head to bed. This helps give your face a chance to recover and breath and in turn keeping you youthful and vibrant! Be gentle Exfoliating one - two times per week is a great routine to keep up but for your daily routine you need a gentle cleanser. You don't need to be abrasive to get the job done! Too much exfoliation can irritate the skin and accelerate the aging process. The harsher you are on your skin the harsher your skin looks. Use a gentle daily cleanser with purifying qualities that is designed for your skin type. This will give you that daily glow and keep your skin healthy and youthful. Using a moisturizer After your gentle daily cleanser you should be locking all the moisture in with a lightweight moisturizer. This will give you a glow, make makeup application easier, and help your skin age gracefully with time. The #1 skin needs to stay youthful is moisture. With whatever serums or creams you are using on your skin after your daily cleanser your moisturizer should go on last, locking everything in for the day. We hope these tips have helped! We will be adding more tips next month so stay healthy, stay vigilant about your skin routine, and stay tuned! Sometimes we can become wildly overwhelmed with beauty standards. We can also get overwhelmed with where to even start when thinking that we'd like to take better care of ourselves. Of course inner beauty is most important but it is imperative we take good care of our health in general. Here are some tips to get you started on your own personal beauty adventure.
You can easily exfoliate your face lightly during your daily bath or shower by using a soft, nubby terrycloth or wash rag. This is especially effective if the water is warm, not hot, and only if you are using the cloth for the first time. Never use the same cloth two days in a row as bacteria may build up overnight. To give your medium-to long-length hair a quick boost of volume in the morning, turn your head upside down, then apply a spray-on product like mousse, texture spray or dry shampoo to add volume. Aim for the roots, then scrunch your hair at the crown and sides. Turn right-side up, then use your fingers to smooth the top layer. Splashing cold water on your face can help reduce the frequency and prevalence of pimples. This is because it shrinks the size of your pores, making it less likely and less possible for them to get clogged, and clogging usually results in the appearance of a pimple. So to keep yourself pimple free, splash cold water! If you want keep your skin healthy, and feel good, drink lots of water! 5-8 glasses of water a day is great, and even more is always good if you can manage it. Drinking plenty of water helps with bad or dry skin and many other ailments. To prevent buildup on your hair, use a clarifying shampoo once a week. Over time, residue from styling products and conditioner can build up on your hair, leaving it dull and lifeless along with that white powder you sometimes see in your hair brush. Using a clarifying shampoo at least once a week can remove this buildup, leaving your hair shiny, bouncy and full of life. Follow some of the beauty tips in this article and take your self care to the next level! Skin care is something that people often overlook. Often times, people worry too much about the paint and not the canvas. Many people do not realize that skin is the body's largest organ. This article will help you understand the important role your skin plays!
Your lips' skin is among the body's most sensitive area. Regularly apply lip balm that includes SPF protection. This helps the lips retain moisture, prevents cracking and protects against the sun's damaging rays. Wearing SPF tinted sunscreen. This can be a great option when hitting the beach or your regular daily routine. It gives you a little color while still protecting your skin from the sun. There are many beauty sunscreen products you can wear underneath or over your foundation or are included in their makeup. Wearing makeup to bed is something that should always be avoided. Your complexion uses sleep as a time to repair itself from everything it sustained during your day. Make-up will clog pores and suffocate your skin. Washing your face before bed won't take long, and the end result is worth it. If at all possible, find moisturizers without added scents and chemicals. You should also avoid products that contain alcohol, as they do more to dry out your skin and have no benefit. Pay careful attention to the ingredients listed on the label of your various creams before every applying. If there is alcohol or a fragrance in the solution, pass it up. Warm your moisturizer before applying to improve the health of your skin. Warm moisturizer is absorbed by your skin faster and more effectively. To warm it, microwave it in a microwave-safe container for about five seconds or until it feels warm. Don't overheat it. Also you can place the lotion in some warm water to warm it up or rub it between your hands before you apply. As you now know, your skin is more than just the face that you show to the world. It is an integral organ of your body. Your skin will benefit and be radiant. Sun damage is one of the worst things you can inflict on your skin, so minimize your sun exposure. You can only win with better skin by using the advice from this article. Your skin is unique and that means your skincare routine can be unique too! It takes months and even years for some to find the right skincare routine.. It is based on so much more than you think it is! The health of your skin can effect your confidence, your makeup routine and your every day life! Makeup can look dry or caked on if your skin is flaky or showing signs of peeling. It can also looked creased and too oily if you are using too much oil on your skin. It can be overwhelming to find the right combination of skincare for you specifically! There are a few indicators on what your skin type is and what products or routine would fit you best. Here are some general questions to start asking...
What is my skin type? Oily, dry, or combination skin all result in different types of care and different products! Is your skin peeling and flaking off? You likely have overly dry skin that needs moisture and a nourishing cleanser. Oily might need a more intense cleanser and a light moisturizing product. Combination skin (feeling dry and oily on different areas of your face) could result in some more middle of the line products. Start with this question to get you set on the right track. If you have sensitive skin that reacts aggressively to harsh products or makeup, keep this in mind as well and look at the ingredients! What is my price range? There are plenty of amazing products out there and you can pay into the hundreds of dollars for skin care. But there are options for everyone's budget. Sometimes the skincare that fits you best can be all-natural and less expensive. A lot of this is trial and error but knowing that you CAN'T afford the high priced skincare line is a good place to start. Don't dig yourself in a financial hole trying to fix the issue. There are options out there that will fit your pocketbook! What are my skin issues and my skin goals? Knowing what is wrong with your skin might seem as easy as taking a look in the mirror, but there might be more to the issue! Some skin irritation is due to lack of moisture when the person believes their skin is too oily. Seeking out the help of a dermatologist can be helpful for knowing, not only your issues but the root of them. Knowing your skin goals is also important. Different skin routines will result in different outcomes.. Are you wanting to get rid of acne?? Then the anti-aging skincare line is not what suites you best. Whether it's fine lines, wrinkles, looking younger, acne, dryness or skin sensitivity, there are specific products for all. So don't pick up random products thinking they will all get the job done. Research is key! With these tips and questions I hope you get on the right track for your skincare! Finding the perfect routine can boost your confidence, improve your makeup game and give you that glowing confidence we all want! In our last article we gave you some tips for all-natural beauty products. These are things you can buy at your local drugstore and might be more sensitive to your skin, allergies or just may be a bit cheaper than the average beauty products. We have found a few more and want to share! These amazing, daily found products might be what you are looking for when it comes to your hair or skin needs. We know there is hardly a at-home shampoo recipe that will really do the trick.. but some of these might get you on the path of all-natural.
Witch-hazel: It often comes in a pure form but can be found with hints of rose and other oils as well. Witch-hazel has a number of benefits including helping reduce inflammation, tightening pores, and can even help reduce the redness and intensity of razor bumps! Witch-hazel is commonly used to reduce acne, as it acts much like a toner that cleanses your skin of excess oil, but it can be because of this that it may not be ideal for those with extremely dry or sensitive skin. Rose Petal Toner: Roses are soft, sensitive and smell amazing. Rose Petal Toner is no different! This is a great product for those with sensitive skin. Regular toners can be too harsh and actually cause the redness you are toning if you aren't careful. Rose petal water and toner both are great to hydrate your skin and help even tone. Watch carefully for those "Rose Petal Toners" that are not all natural as they may just be adding a rose smelling perfume to their product.. this is the opposite of what we want! Argan Oil: Although still found in the beauty isle, Argan Oil is one of the few beauty products that can be considered all natural. The oil coming from the Argan nut has anti-aging properties and is becoming more and more popular as it's effects are seen. If you have sensitive skin natural oils are a good bet for hydrating your hair and face without harsh repercussion. Although Argan Oil is mostly used to increase hair growth and make your hair glossy it can be good for skin psoriasis and rosacea. Organic Clay Mask: To treat yourself to some specialty skin care naturally we recommend an organic clay mask. Organic meaning they do not add loads of ingredients along with it. Tip: if your "clay" mask is not the color of clay (red, brown, grey) it is likely not all-natural or possibly not even close. Clay masks that are purple, pink and green (yes, we've seen them) are definitely not the clay we are talking about. There are many healing properties of certain clays that contain minerals and vitamins! When used correctly they help bring vibrancy to the skin and help tighten pores. Hopefully, these all-natural beauty products will help you with either your sensitive skin, allergens, pocket book, or possibly just your desire for a more natural and low-maintenance hair/skincare routine. Some of us have ultra-sensitive skin when it comes to the chemicals found in most beauty products. These can become anti-beauty products quickly when hives and rashes break out! Many beauty products contain the same ingredients and chemicals across many recognizable brands. If you are looking for something more natural with less chemicals and less opportunities for rashes and breakouts look no further! Here is a quick list of all-natural beauty supplies that could work for you!
Sea Salt Hair Texturing Spray: If the smell and fume of hairspray has you coughing and sneezing, try sea salt texturing spray. This comes in many different brands and is even something you can make at home. It is, at the base level, sea salt water. Have you gone home from the beach to find your hair is holding itself in place? That's the magic of sea salt. While we may not want it to feel like we just popped out of the ocean, it can be a great way to give some texture and hold your hair for those beachy waves! Coconut Oil: Along with teeth whitening, skin moisturizing and lip treatments, coconut oil can be used in your hair, scalp, and eyelashes! It's a natural remedy for almost anything that needs moisturizing and growth. Some lotions contain perfumes and chemicals, and when rubbed all over your body, can cause uncomfortable rashes and hives. Coconut oil can be a great alternative and a little goes a LONG way! No more guessing at store-bought lotions waiting for the other foot to drop (other foot being hives, Ouch!) Try something natural and simple to help moisturize your skin. Homemade Scrub: Need some exfoliation without the redness and rash? For our sensitive skin people the store-bought exfoliants can often be WAY too harsh. Simple sugar, coconut oil and your favorite extract oil can create a wonderful body/face scrub to keep you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. We need to exfoliate our skin about twice a week to remove dead skin and promote new skin cell growth. This is not something you should shy away from just because other products have left you feeling like you finished microdermabrasion therapy when in fact your just washing your face! BONUS: Peppermint and cinnamon can be great essential oils to include in holiday scrubs. These are also great to give as gifts. Make the scrub, put it in a mason jar, tie a festive ribbon and you've just won Christmas! Exfoliated and crafty; a win-win! Here are some beauty tips to help you avoid mishaps and look your best!
If you are going to use a self tanner always exfoliate. This process will smooth skin and remove layers of dead skin cells. Ensuring you don't look streaky and overly tan in some areas that tend to grab on to self tanner more than others. No matter what skin type you have, you need to cleanse your face thoroughly with a cleanser that is mild at least once per day. Before you clean your face, make sure that you get rid of all of your makeup. If you don't you may experience acne and clogged pores. This is especially true before bed as you don't want to spend 8 hours or more with old makeup clogging those pores. Use moisturizer daily. Moisturizer can be very helpful for your skin, even if you believe you have oily skin to begin with. Some skin types are oily because they are trying to compensate for the moisture they are NOT getting. It is important to utilize a moisturizer that contains an SPF as well. You can increase the appearance of the size of your lips by adding a little white eye-shadow at the indentation of the top lip. When you highlight this area, it will catch and reflect light, creating the fullness most want. Use a highlighter or moisturizer with warm gold or pink undertones to add some life back to dull wintery skin. You can achieve a radiant, glowing effect by using a cosmetic sponge to distribute the product to the cheek bones and brow bones. Don't forget that a great hairstyle can complement your face. A cut that is long and sleek can do the trick. You can also use lowlights or highlights to frame your face. These ultra-flattering highlights bring attention to your best features. Using eye shadow and liner are great ways to help your eyes look vibrant and standout, but when your eyes are bloodshot and unhealthy looking, your efforts will be useless. You can use eye drops anytime your eyes feel a little dry and tired, due to environmental factors or lack of sleep. The tips in this article are meant to help you achieve the level of beauty that you desire. By using this knowledge you can feel your best and feel more confident. If you're reading this, you've obviously made up your mind to start taking better care of your skin. The answer is below, so read on!
Use cosmetics in moderation. Oftentimes powdered makeup and foundations are not good for your skin. This can cause acne, or make your current situation worse. Occasionally, makeup applied over acne can even cause an infection. Not using makeup until your acne outbreaks clear up is a good option. Do not be tempted to hide your pimples behind a toner or concealer. A homemade mask is the key to glowing skin. Grind raw almonds along with milk and olive oil until it forms a semi-smooth paste. Also ground up some orange peels and add them. Apply the mask to your facial area and then let it remain for a quarter of an hour. Wash the mixture off of your face. Next take an ice cube and rub it on your facial skin. Make sure you never put on wet gloves or socks. If you have wet clothes like socks, this can irritate skin and cause flaking, bleeding, or eczema. It is possible to make your own lip balm for dry, chapped lips. If you want a natural remedy, try mixing honey, sour cream and cucumber and put it on your lips for about 15 minutes. When time is up, rinse the mixture with water and add a bit of almond oil to your lips, which protects the skin and seals in moisture. If you want to look good, stay away from tanning booths. Many people are under the assumption that a tan will make them look younger, but nothing could be further from the truth. Tanning will damage your skin and age it prematurely. It is important to protect lips as well. The winter air can dry out your lips. This dry air is the biggest culprit behind dry, chapped lips, sometimes even cracked or bleeding ones. The pain and discomfort from this is both unnecessary and unpleasant. An easy solution is to always use a moisturizing lip balm or moisturizer. Make sure you know what ingredients are inside your skin products. The less ingredients that are in the product, the better. If your skin is sensitive, additional ingredients may be counterproductive. Therefore, you will be doing more harm than good. It may even cause additional breakouts. Healthy skin routines are more effective if it is a daily habit. Now you know that good skin is not a lost cause. It is only a matter of committing oneself to obtaining healthy, radiant skin. The way you think about yourself plays a huge role in how others see you. The more beautiful you feel, the brighter your personality will be. Self-confidence helps you in your life and your career and part of self confidence is looking your best. This article has great tips for keeping you looking your best and feeling great!
A good skin care tip is to exfoliate your face. Exfoliate your skin every other day to keep the top layer looking fresh and smooth. Your face will become radiant and regular exfoliation prevents the buildup of dirt and oils. Before you adhere fake eyelashes, be sure to test for allergies. Use a small spot on the inside of your arm as your test area; apply a little bit of the glue to make sure you don't have a reaction. Protect the test area with a piece of gauze or cloth. An application of white eye shadow to the area above the middle of your upper lip will make the lips appear larger than they really are. This will give you a highlight so that the light catches it and your upper lip will seem a bit fuller. Instead of spending tons of money on a name brand facial moisturizer, use coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil moisturizes skin just as well as the brand name stuff, and also slows down the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Coconut oil is also a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent, making it effective in combating skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis and acne. If you feel your face is too square, soften the angles with a creamy coral or rose blush, applied lightly and blended well. Apply the blush to your cheekbones, then fan the color out and up toward your temples. Drink a lot of water if you prefer to clear up your skin naturally and want to save money. Water hydrates skin and naturally removes toxins from your body, and this action serves to boost the clarity and attractiveness of your complexion. Bonus Hair Tip: Air dry your hair whenever possible to prevent exposing your hair to heat damage. Combined heating tools like hair dryers and flat/curling irons can majorly damage the scalp and hair. Use your hair dryer at the lowest setting if is necessary to use it to dry your hair. Doing this ensures your hair will remain soft and smooth. It should now be apparent that there are tons of different ways to take care of your hair and skin that don't require breaking the bank. When you use the beauty tips from the article in your daily life, you'll look good and feel confident. |
